Juvederm Vollure™ XC for laugh lines and marionette lines is a new Hyaluronic Gel filler in the Juvederm family. Clinical tests showed up to 18 months longevity.
Improved Fillers – Improved Results
As fillers improve, you get to expect a longer correction and smoother correction. The patented Vycross® technology blends different molecule weights to achieve a particularly smooth result. Vycross cross-linking makes the fillers more malleable and easier to inject, further improving the outcome.
The fact that Vollure lasts so long makes it very appealing to those who want to “fill it and forget it”. Clinical study results of 18 months are based on optimal correction. Results may vary.
Vollure for moderate to severe lines in the mid face:
- Laugh Lines (Parentheses lines)
- Marionette Lines
- Horizontal Chin Lines
Parentheses lines are static lines that appear around your nose and mouth when your face is at rest. This happens over time as your skin loses some of the building blocks (hyaluronic acid and collagen) that give the skin its structure.
How is Vollure different from Voluma?
Vollure maintains correction and also allows easy movement in the treated area with a molecule weight mix specific for this area. Voluma is weighted a little heavier than Vollure and is not quite as elastic in nature. Volume replacement in the cheek is not subject to the same repeated movements in the mouth area, so a filler that’s a little stiffer, like Voluma, works best for cheek augmentation.
Filler densities are area-specific
Generally, you can expect the denser fillers to be used in areas that require deeper levels of product injection and thinner fillers to be used in areas that are frequently mobile.
Juvederm’s four formulas, Juvederm XC (lines and folds), Volbella (lips and lip lines), Vollure (mid face moderate to severe lines) and Voluma (cheeks) all are designed to give you the best results in the areas they have been developed for. Ex: A patient with deflated cheeks, deep lines around the mouth and loss of lip volume would likely use Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella.
Are there side effects?
Any filler treatment will cause some initial swelling or redness. Usually, any side effects subside in a matter of days. Juvederm Vollure contains lidocaine for injection comfort.
